Lady Guardians: Back Off Page 6
I love feeling my woman under me, her breasts pressing on my chest, her nipples available for pleasuring. Our kissing can be passionate or gentle and loving, and then there is the best part—penetration.
I push her flesh apart, feeling her become wetter in response to my entry. Thrusting is so fulfilling that it excites me beyond measure, and the apex in this position is the ability to release deep inside of her, holding her bucking body trapped beneath me.
The music is encouraging me to test how far she’ll actually let me go. The thin strap of her dress has fallen off her shoulder. Easing the top of the dress down far enough, I see her breast. So beautiful. I pause briefly to admire the contrast of the dark areola against the lighter skin of her breast before I dip my head and flick at the swollen nipple with my tongue. She gasps, pushing her chest upward as if wanting more.
Bravely, I pull her nipple into my mouth and suck gently on it. Suddenly Carrie moves my head away and pushes me off her. I’m left confused and with my rock-hard cock aching in my pants.
“I’m sorry, Jonah. I can’t,” she says as she adjusts her clothes.
“Baby, I’m not forcing you to do anything. I didn’t mean to take it there; I swear.”
“Please don’t say that. See, I want to, but I’m not, um—”
“You’re not what?” I ask, more puzzled than ever.
“I’m not on birth control at the moment. See, I haven’t been in a relationship in years.” Her shoulders drop. “I can’t take the risk of our first time together resulting in a pregnancy.”
A saner head prevails. What am I doing, anyway? Was I really about to have sex with Cliff’s little sister in the damn woods? The least I can do is take her to dinner and a hotel with the best amenities.
I get up and then help her to her feet. “I’m glad you stopped me, Carrie. When we do get together for the first time, I don’t want it to be here. You deserve better than a blanket spread out on a hard ground and crickets cheering us on.” I pump my fist in the air. “Go, Jonah. Slow down; don’t blow it too fast,” I say, hoping to draw a laugh. It works.
“You do have a humorous side. I love it.”
We start to walk back to my bike. “Remember that the next time I piss you off.”

Carrie
Days have flown by and Jonah has been in my head more than ever. Since that night at the park, I’ve been sorting through my feelings for him. He is charming, sexy, and smart, but he does have a rough side to him. I haven’t seen the violent side of him, and don’t dispute it exists. I’ve overheard conversations between him and Cliff talking about the things they’ve done.
In the back of my head, a voice keeps telling me that Cliff’s shooting was an accident. I believe Jonah was the target, but Cliff won’t talk about it. The police couldn’t break their brotherhood bond.
Despite the type of person, I think Jonah may be, he does look after my parents since Cliff moved away. They aren’t disabled or sickly, but he insists on helping them however he can. That act of kindness won my mother over. Over the years I’ve heard my mother ask, and even Cliff has inquired about Jonah’s family. He doesn’t talk about them at all.
I get my bag from the chair filled with information for the girls on the upcoming party. We each have to distribute flyers to get the word out to as many people as possible. My goal is to raise thirty thousand dollars for research to fight cancer in children.
Running late, as usual, I rush to the door. I feel dizzy and stop to get my footing. I have been under tremendous stress and not eating right, plus the new birth control pills are messing with my system. But it is better to be safe than sorry. That night, Jonah and I came too close to losing control. I can’t afford to be a single mom or marry a man because of an unplanned pregnancy.
Twenty minutes later, I arrive at Nutty’s. I’m not sure if Jonah will be here or if he’s had another member unlock the door. If he is here, I have to keep my emotions under control. My friends will read my face and know something is up. Pepper and Dawn already have their suspicions about us.
Tonight, all members of the Lady Guardians will be in attendance. The club is rather small, but the few bodies that are willing to wear the colors I’m happy to have.
“Hey, guys; sorry I’m late,” I say as I sit down at the table set up for the officers. “I’ll be quick, since we have families to get home to. We’re here to discuss the fundraiser.”
Anita raises her hand and asks, “Have you found a place to hold the party yet?”
“I have. Jonah offered Nutty’s for us to use and I accepted. We’ll come in and decorate and set up and make sure we clean up when we leave.”
I see the look on Sarah’s face. She stands up. “Here? What happened to renting a hall, Carrie?”
“Every place I called turned me down; it’s because we are a motorcycle club. The owners are afraid there will be trouble.” I look around the old converted bar and sigh. It is a dump, but a few touch-ups here and there, and it will be good enough to use. “Don’t turn your nose up at it, Sarah. Some nice tablecloths and flowers will brighten it up.”
Kiana stands up. She is new to the club and has been asking when elections are coming up; she wants to make a run for my position. Let her try.
“Really, Carrie? This bar is not good enough. Yes, I can see a roughneck club throwing a party here, but not the LGs.”
I see the others are agreeing with Kiana. Dealing with the club is getting harder instead of easier. I’m close to calling the president of the national chapter to get advice, but Jonah gave me the best advice already. He told me to stand up and take charge and not let them run me over.
Kiana continues, “I say we vote to postpone the party until a better place is secured. I’ll look for a place. I have connections, since I work for the city.”
Dawn pipes in, “Kiana, you ain’t got no connections with nothing at city hall. If we need a recommendation where to have lunch, then you’re up.”
“Shut the hell up, Dawn! Talking about my job, your ignorant ass can’t do shit but push patients back and forth all damn day. At least I make more than minimum wage.”
“Bitch, you’ll need the extra money for a doctor after I stump the crap out your ass. You don’t know me!”
I reach for Dawn’s arm to keep her from leaving her seat. She and Kiana have been at each other’s throats for days. I know why Dawn is doing it, but she has to remember to play it cool.
“Ladies!” Pepper shouts. “What is going on? You two are bringing down the spirit of the club with your fighting. Can’t you all talk it out?”
“Pepper, you know me,” Dawn says. She lights a cigarette and blows out the smoke. “I don’t trash a person unless I have a reason. Kiana gives me many reasons not to like her.”
Kiana replies, “Anytime you feel ready to jump, bitch, I’m ready.”
I’ve had enough. I don’t need the remaining members taking sides and making it worse. I stand up, slamming the gavel on the table. “Listen up, because I’m only saying this once. The party will be held here, period. And I expect every member to sell as many tickets as possible. You all seem to forget this is not about us, but the babies we want to help. So, get off your high horse, Kiana, and help plan the damn thing or resign from the club.” When I stop yelling, they are looking at me. I can’t back down now. “Anybody else got anything they want to add before I move on?”
“I’m cool,” Dawn says. She is smiling as she reaches across the table for a stack of flyers. “Let me pass those out for you, Madam President.”
The meeting goes on for another thirty minutes before I decide to call it. Kiana is busy texting on her phone. Dawn is watching her closely. Pepper, Anita, and Millie are doing their best to help me keep it together, but it’s a loss; the mood has gone south.
Behind me, I hear the door close and turn my head slightly to see Jonah. He gives me a chin up and walks into a back room. I set my attention back to what I’m doing. “Dawn, we need to talk abo
ut Kiana later.”
“Sure thing,” Dawn replies.
I bang my gavel to formally end the meeting. “Ladies, on your way out, help yourself to the wonderful pastries Anita and Millie made.”
Dawn comes up beside me. “I saw who came in. Go talk to Jonah; I’ll finish up.”
Shoving the rest of the flyers in my bag, I respond, “So, he’s here. Probably waiting for us to leave so, they can get on with their night.”
“Girl, how long are you gonna pretend ain’t nothing between you two? You’ll feel so much better getting it off your chest.”
Hands on hips, I peer at her. “Dawn, we’re not going there again. Jonah is a friend. He’s been around my family for years.”
“I hear good friends make great lovers.”
“Not in our case. Jonah treats me like a kid sister.” My stomach flips after I release that lie.
The smirk on Dawn’s face is a dead giveaway. She knows something. “Um, I’m seeing Lindy, Dr. Larson’s assistant. I know about your appointment with her. Did you get birth control pills?” she whispers so the others can’t hear. “I know you’ve been off them since dumping that asshole Anthony.”
My blood runs hot. What the hell happened to patient confidentiality? “Well, I didn’t know about you and Lindy. Congratulations. But why is she telling you about my doctor’s appointment? There are privacy issues.”
“She ain’t tell me about it. She knows we’re friends and thought I’d be concerned about you.”
“No one has to worry; I’m fine.” I pick up my stuff to leave. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Yup.” Dawn looks at her watch. “I gotta roll too. Lindy and I are catching a late movie. I finally get to see Black Panther—you wanna come?”
I smile. “Three’s a crowd, but enjoy the movie.”
“Hey—lover boy is at the bar. You should take over a few cookies and say hello,” she says.
Dropping my purse and bag on the table, I lift my brow and say matter-of-factly, “I think I will.”
I take three cookies and a cupcake and walk to the bar. Jonah is standing behind it. I sit on the stool. He smiles and says, “You look like you could use a drink. What’s your choice?”
“Vodka and orange juice. But easy on the booze; I have to drive home,” I say, rubbing the back of my neck. “I bought you some treats to eat later.”
“Thanks. Here you go,” he says, sliding the glass to me. “Vodka straight up.”
I look at him and then at the shot glass filled to the brim. “No mixers, only beer and liquor?”
“We don’t mix drinks, sweetheart. It’s straight or nothing. Anyhow, that meeting was quick.”
I nod, feeling the tension in my neck muscles. “I had more to say, but they pissed me off.”
“That happens when others kick in their opinions. I have to say, I’ve never attended a biker meeting where cupcakes and cookies are served on platters. It was more like a PTA meeting.”
“All right—get off my back; I’m still learning.” I sigh and take a sip of the vodka. It’s not top shelf, and the sting from the lesser-quality alcohol travels down my throat leaving a burning path.
I start to cough, and he laughs. “Too strong?”
“Just a tad,” I reply.
“I hear the meeting got heated. How did you handle it?”
“How did you know what happened?” I ask.
“I was outside. Voices carry in a dump like this.”
“I’m sorry Kiana said that, Jonah.”
“Don’t be. I know it’s a dump.”
“You’re nice enough to let me use it, and I appreciate it, regardless of how she feels. Dawn thinks she is spying for Tequeela.”
He narrows his eyes. “What does your gut tell you? If she is infiltrating, you gotta handle that shit.”
“Kiana wants to challenge me for my seat. At this point, she can have it—and the headaches.”
“And let Tequeela win? I’m a little disappointed to hear that.”
“I’m just talking crap. I wish she would leave town quietly.”
“Wishful thinking; she’s plotting, and that big mouth broad is gonna play a part in her plan.” Jonah opens a beer then leaps over the bar to sit next to me. I make a mental note to really clean the bar; no telling what else has been done on it. I speak too soon. A large cat jumps on the bar and sniffs my drink then wanders over to Jonah purring. I’m amazed how gentle he is with the animal.
“Is that your cat?” I cover my drink to keep the cat from sniffing around it.
“This is Sugar. She was a very sick stray when she wandered in a year ago. We adopted her, and now this is her home. She keeps an eye on the place when we aren’t around. I’ll take her home with me on the night of your party.”
“Wow. How did she know you’re an animal lover and would save her? You are a great guy, Jonah.”
His beard is darker, and new stubble fills the areas he probably shaved this morning. He is one handsome man, and I don’t understand why I can’t let myself just go for it.
Jonah lifts a brow as he strokes the cat. “You should take some lessons from her. I could be stroking you instead of the cat.”
Glad I’m sitting, or my legs would buckle right under me. I smack my lips. “Just when I think you’re sweet, you go in another direction.”
“Unpredictable is what you want, Carrie. If you knew what a man was going to do before he does it, sex would be boring. You’d be screwing to procreate only.”
I drink the rest of the vodka too fast, and it goes immediately to my head. I frown when I look at him. “Seriously, Jonah?”
“Did I offend you? You should be used to how I talk.”
“I’m aware of your language, and it doesn’t offend me. Fix me another drink?”
He put Sugar on the floor and went behind the bar. “It’ll cost you,” he says.
“How much? I have a few dollars on me. Do you take credit cards?”
“I don’t want your money,” he says, pushing the refilled glass over to me.
I take a sip, and it is worse than the last one, but I keep drinking it like an idiot. “Then, what do you want?”
Jonah walks around the bar and stands behind me. He removes the black scrunchie holding my ponytail together. I feel his long fingers in my hair, pulling it around my shoulders. My heart rate has doubled, and my breathing is rapid.
His lips touch the side of my neck. My eyes shut, and I bite my bottom lip squeezing my thighs together as moisture begins to pool at my core. His hands are caressing my bare shoulders. He slips a finger under the thin strap of my orange tank top. I’m not wearing a bra, so my breasts are barrier-free. The way he’s kissing my neck and caressing my shoulders makes my nipples grow hard. My back arches as his right hand moves down my chest and over my breasts. I moan, letting my head fall back on his chest.
Jonah’s lips find mine. His tongue flickers across my bottom lip while his fingers tweak my nipple. I’m dying from the different sensations erupting inside me caused by his fingers and lips.
My legs are trembling and my heart is pounding at an outrageous rate. Jonah uses his other hand to caress my bare thigh. I’m wearing baggy cotton shorts. There is plenty of room for him to slip beneath them without much effort. A sharp intake of breath escapes my mouth as his fingers touch me there. It’s been so long since a man has had me in this position, feeling this phenomenal.
His lips are caressing my cheek. He is whispering, his breath is warm against my skin, and then it happens. His finger moves under my panties, rubbing my lips before locating my magical spot. I’m oozing so much that I want to push him away, only I can’t move.
“You like it, don’t you, baby? I’ll stop if you don’t want me to go any further. But you feel so good, so wet.”
He’s talking like a crazy person. What woman wouldn’t want to be pleased by a man who takes her breath away merely by stimulating her with a stroke of his finger? Oh God, I can only imagine what full penetration would
do to me—I mean, would do to a woman.
“Tell me you like it, Carrie.”
Why does he insist I talk when I can’t? I nod slowly. His lips find mine again. Our tongues are working in unison. I reach behind the stool and grab the crotch of his pants. So long and thick. I want to touch his flesh, feel how hot and heavy his penis is in my hand.
My knees involuntarily fall apart, giving him easier access. His thumb is massaging my clit as he inserts one finger.
“Damn, you’re tight.”
I respond by squeezing him harder, drawing a slight groan from him.
“Yeah, baby, I like that. Stroke me harder.”
I can’t get a good grip on his jeans due to the position of my arm. Doesn’t matter anyhow; what he’s doing to me is too much of a distraction and I can’t concentrate on him at the moment.
He slowly inserts another finger inside me, moving both fingers in a steady rhythm. Out of nowhere, I lose it. My body explodes. My thighs close together, trapping his fingers as my muscles convulse around them. My nipple is aching from him pinching it. I can no longer breathe as I hold the scream in my throat.
As my orgasm subsides, I use my arm to cushion my head on the bar. I have to catch my breath and figure out how to get out of here without talking to him.
Jonah removes his hand from my panties and fixes my shirt. Then he leans over and plants a soft kiss on my cheek. “That was my payment,” he whispers.
The door opens, and I hear laughing and lots of footsteps on the wood floor. I sit up straight. Jonah is again standing on the other side of the bar with a smirk on his face. He moves too damn fast to be a big man.
“Are you okay?” he asks.
“Why do you insist on torturing me?”
“I didn’t see any torture on your face, and heard only pleasure coming from those sweet lips.”
He slowly sucks on two of his fingers. I know exactly where those fingers have been. Heat surges in my cheeks. I frown and say, “Stop it! I don’t need your cronies to know what happened.”
